For 50 years - Your Hotel in Lech am Arlberg
Hubert & Isolde Schwärzler laid the foundation stone in October 1968. In heraldry, the pelican symbolises hospitality, care and security. Running the hotel is our calling. Our work of serving guests and providing the best possible care is our passion. And everyone notices it. Your hosts at Haldenhof are already in their 3rd generation and we look forward to another 50 great years!

Hubert & Isolde Schwärzler obtained the building permit for your dream – the small Haldenhof bed and breakfast – and work started in autumn. The topping-out ceremony already took place in August 1969.
Willi, Gebhard and Johann Schneider took over the construction management for their “little” sister. Isolde cooked and looked after the workmen, together with her mother Maria, from the kitchen of the Hotel Arlberg. Hubert was already managing the business of the tourist office and advertised vigorously.
The first "guests" hosted were young sudents spending their winter season as skiinstructors here in Lech - their rooms were on the ground level, as the upper floors only could be finished the following year.
The carpenters built the beds when our first guests arrived. Isolde, the innkeeper, provided them with snacks and drinks by the fireplace, which is how the tradition of the Sunday cocktail in Haldenhof started.
We run Hotel Haldenhof with heart and soul, passion and joy. The whole family and the team give the guests an authentic, warm feeling of a home away from home. The guests, the hotel, the location, our friends and the region are very important to our entire family.
Senior Hubert played a major role in designing the Lech and Arlberg tourist resort - known worldwide for his credo and philosophy "Always walk in your customer´s shoes!". Isolde took care of building up the hotel, as well as the guests. Together, they developed the Haldenhof into a place where tradition and hospitality are paramount.
Michael and Claudia are keeping this creed going, and our family's commitment to the guests, the friends, neigbours and the Arlberg region has not waned. Be it Michael the Ski Club Arlberg Ambassador, Claudia as the heart and core of the hotel and comunity living, Alexander as a ski instructor, barman, young wine waiter, upcoming bachelor in tone and eventtechnics, or Johanna as concierge, receptionist,
multitalent and upcoming bachelor in international economy – we have one thing in common:
We want to use our experience to conjure up a wonderful and unforgettable holiday in the Arlberg region and our home.
