Our team

Our Hanni also graduated from the tourism school in Innsbruck. She then gained experience in companies at home and abroad. This was followed by business studies in Vienna, which she completed in spring with a Bachelor's degree after a semester abroad in Boton. After an extended study trip through New Zealand, Australia and South East Asia, she returned home. Together with Rebecca, she manages the reception, takes care of the guests‘ and employees’ concerns and will of course also bring a breath of fresh air to our well-known ‘Haldenhof Party and Event Management’. 

The Haldenhof is our home and our passion. We love working with nice people and giving our guests a lovely, warm time.

Just over 25 years ago, we were able to take over the Haldenhof from Hubert and Isolde and develop it further. We are particularly proud of the fact that many of our guests have stayed with us for generations. 

After graduating from hotel management school, our Alex spent a summer in a wine castle, obtained a bartender's diploma in Barcelona, completed his basic ski instructor training here in Lech and gained experience in several businesses. During his internship at a renowned record studio in Liechtenstein, he discovered his new passion. He is currently attending the SAE in Vienna to study and train as a sound and event technician. Alex organises training courses for the team in the restaurant, looks after the necessary IT and always lends a hand when he is at home in Lech.

Rebecca previously worked as a receptionist in a hotel in London before moving to a haulage office in Liechtenstein. The plan was to spend a winter season in Lech for a change. We are delighted that she has stayed with us and has left the foggy valley and moved to the sunny mountains of Lech with her wealth of experience and vigour. Since the summer she has also been a saxophonist in the Trachtenkapelle Lech. Rebecca is happy to take care of all your needs at our reception, of course not without a joke or two and a big smile!

With her friendly and calm nature, the graduate of the Hungarian School of Tourism in Budapest has been at the heart of our restaurant for several years now. You can always rely on Vanessza. She also has a fashionable taste, a good hand at decorating and a fine, dry sense of humour. Our Ruhepohl always keeps the overview. For the past year, she has been working on another big project: together with her partner, she is renovating a house in the middle of the beautiful vineyards in Burgenland!

Ramona and her partner Florin came to the Haldenhof on a recommendation. She is very experienced and has worked in good restaurants on Mallorca and in France. She is looking for a new challenge and would also like to learn German as a 4th foreign language. As a whirlwind with a lot of southern temperament, she also ensures that there is plenty of laughter behind the scenes. No job is too hard for her. This summer she also discovered a passion for easy mountain hikes and excursions in the region. 

After several years together with his wife Ramona on Mallorca and in France, Florin came to us at Haldenhof on recommendation. He is a talented linguist and German as a new language should not be a problem for him. He is still slowly getting to grips with skiing and the snow. The ice bar for New Year's Eve is always his first project with the snow shovel. In summer, he just enjoys trips to the region and the odd hike with Ramona. Flori loves interacting with guests and cultures from all over the world.

Olli is our ‘globetrotter’ - born in the UK, grew up in the Emirates, stayed here in Lech during the lockdown and has built up a large circle of friends. He has been looking for new challenges for 6 winter seasons now. Courses as a barman & cocktail waiter, jumps and stunts on the snowboard, or best man and wedding planner for his sister and his best friend - Olli is unique. However, his goal of learning German only fails because of our dialect and we are using so many words various meanings. His big heart and perseverance will move mountains!

Lenz comes from our beautiful capital Vienna. After training as a chef and gaining experience in catering in the city, he moved to Lech 4 years ago. After several winters in the Schneggarei, we are delighted that Lenz joined us at the Haldenhof 2 years ago. Creative, funny and with a twist, he enriches our kitchen. His favourite is his Wienderschnitzel. Desserts and cakes are the passion of our ‘confectioner’. Watch out, he sometimes doubles up - when his twin brother visits the Haldenhof.

Lubi is a bundle of energy. All the prep work for the chefs, the breakfast menu and meticulous cleaning of the kitchen. We often have to stop Lubi and force her to take a coffee break. She also experienced her first ‘mid-season’ with us in Lech - her verdict: not too bad, but not enough work, so she grabbed an iron and was off to iron all the Haldenhof curtains. Slowed down by an operation last winter, she is now back in full swing and looks after her ‘boys’ in the kitchen.

David is the in-house technician at the Haldenhof. He is constantly repairing, looking after your luggage, looking after the ski depot, swimming pool and spa, the outdoor facilities, snow blower, the Furhpark,... and if he doesn't have a job, he'll find one. Cars are his passion - they just have to have a combustion engine and as few electronics as possible. His family with Andi, Netti and Leni are his source of strength. We got him into skiing in the first place.  

Her calmness and friendly charisma are simply infectious - even under the greatest stress or on the most stressful days when the whole house is changing, she keeps calm and organised. Our Andi-Neni has a good word for everyone! She finds relaxation on a walk with her family - Netti, David and Leni. In the evening, she takes her time to pick out an animal for the display case and in the morning she enjoys a coffee with us and Andi-Neni is ready again, looking after the Haldenhof rooms with the delicate touch of a housewife and mother.

We can always ask Netti for help when we need it. Sport is important to her - whether it's jogging, the sports park or a run with little Leni, boyfriend David and mum Andrea - Netti is always active. Netti recently took over the controlling in the wine and beverage cellar and the stock accounting and makes sure that the wine never runs out!  In the summer, she successfully passed the course to become a young Austrian sommelier. No mountain is safe from her. The Piz Buin was her chosen destination in preparation for the Himalayan adventure - five 5000 metre peaks on the route plan.

Sanja has already known Lech as a place to work for several years. Having always worked in one of the large hotels, she wanted to move to a small, cosy hotel with a personally managed team. She missed the variety and the new daily challenges that such a hotel offers. After a great summer with lots of laughter and fun outside of work, Sanja decided to stay with us. We are already looking forward to many years together at Haldenhof. 

Owen found his way to Haldenhof through his dear girlfriend Beth.
After successfully studying Latin, some experience behind the bar and spending a semester abroad in Germany, the born Brit was looking for a new challenge.

David absolvierte eine Ausbildung in der Küche zu Hause in Bosnien. Er kam nach Lech und betreute als Alleinkoch die Nachmittagskarte in einem großen Hotel unserer Freunde. Sie empfahlen ihm auch den Haldenhof um dort in einem kleinen Team arbeiten, kochen und die Sprache erlernen zu können.Gemeinsam mit seiner Partnerin Zeljana sind sie nun Teil unseres internationalen Teams von lieben Menschen. Seine Hilfsbereitschaft und Freude an der Arbeit sind ansteckend! 

Zeljana came to Haldenhof for the first time in the summer with her partner David (no, not our caretaker David - he belongs to Netti). Her aim is to learn German quickly and take up a social profession. We hope that both of them will stay with us for a long time - preferably until we need ‘Altenplfege’. When our Andre retired, we didn't think we would find someone with the same warmth and precision at work again - but friends sent us Zeljana. 

Mira and her family have lived here in Lech for several years. Mira's husband provides deliciously fresh pastries every day in Martin Walch's Lech bakery and takes care of the logistics. From time to time she accompanies her husband on the delivery tour. A very early coffee with our housekeeping ladies resulted in a friendship. So Mira decided to work with us last summer and thank goodness - she loved it and we can hear her melodic whistling and singing as she makes her rounds through the house this winter too!

Anca is with us for the fourth winter in a row.
She is a real ray of sunshine with her friendly nature and her infectious smile.

Dear Anca, we are delighted to be able to 'borrow' you again this winter.

Maria is keeping up the tradition of her siblings - as a small child, she and her family used to visit her siblings Andrea, Mathias and Josef at Haldenhof every season. It took her a little more school, a little more career planning and a year in Canada, and with little persuasion she came to spend a winter with us. According to the motto ‘To keep the tradition alive!’. Now we are delighted that she will be back as a whirlwind at the Haldenhof and on the Arlberg next winter.  

Over the past 50 years, Haldenhof chefs have repeatedly come from beautiful Carinthia. Together with Mr Brandstätter, we look forward to new inspirations and ideas in the kitchen. After completing his training, Mr Brandstätter was drawn to the world, where his cuisine was characterised by Michelin-starred cuisine, large hotels and a few seasons on the Arlberg. After graduating as a master chef, Hansjörg looked for a new field of activity, cooking in a small team. With the challenge of a daily changing menu. He makes his own cheese dumplings in the old Carinthian tradition!

From the culinary melting pot of Vienna to the Arlberg. After completing his apprenticeship, Jarema remained loyal to his hometown of Vienna for a few more years. He travelled again and again and has now followed a friend's call to join us in Lech. We are already looking forward to the creations of our Haldenhof kitchen brigade. A warm welcome! 

We are already looking forward to working with Marko. It will be his first job outside his home country of Serbia. His parents have been working on the Arlberg for many years, mostly in winter. His father has also worked for us and has entrusted Marko to us. We are already looking forward to it, if he has only inherited half of his father's mischievousness and commitment, it will be a great winter!
